Why do vtubers prefer to be playfully insulted over complimented in their chat?
Ever since i switched to playful insults i've been getting read a lot more by my oshi and she actually laughs at my comments.
not talking about Gura btw

Twitch vtubers are the easiest to get to read your comments because the average IQ of the average twitch user is equivalent to their average age so it's really easy to be the funniest guy there.

Women love guys that insult them but not seriously.
I guess it makes them feel like the guy doesn't worship them which would make them feel like they deserve more than him?
Basically you are putting yourself below her when 98% of women don't want that and want a man who's above her in some way or other.
Whether that is status, wealth, looks, humour and more.
Basically don't be an orbiter as that is a death knell for any sort of reciprocation.

Because women prefer playful insults to compliments. Women receive countless compliments every day from everyone around them; they mean nothing to them. When someone has the balls to go against that and banter with them it stands out.

It's negging. It only works because the person being negged knows they've got issues and assuming the commenters aren't seriously going in and shitting on the streamer it's easier psychologically to take it as banter than as something serious because then they don't have to worry about saving face

Because meaningless compliments are a dime a dozen and don’t sound genuine.
Playful banter does two things:
>it proves you’re comfortable enough around them to not put on a mask of unrelenting forced positivity
>it proves you’re normal enough to know what’s banter and what’s insulting
It’s also the logic behind negging. Not the bullshit pick-up artist kind where women supposedly need to be taken down a notch. Real “negging” is basically just banter.
Anyway, the tldr is that it proves you’re not a weirdo and that you’re not trying too hard.

Youre right and wrong here anon. Women do want a guy that will banter with them but it's not some inherent desire to feel lower than someone. Its because there are a LOT of simps in today's dating scene and hot girls get hit on by them 24/7. So when a guy comes around & treats her as an equal, instead of a queen to be worshipped or as property to be conquered, it goes a long way.
