I know it's all about the money, but I don't see why it's worth the effort in the long run when a single word can fuck up the entire deal (see: John Cena tanking the Fast and the Furious franchise with one interview) and ultimately all they're going to do is take the ideas and make their own version of it to replace it.

Interesting. I'm not completely convinced that Cover got rid of her to appease the Chinese, but it's a possibility. It could also be the case that she really did leave of her own accord (who knows her circumstances anyway, she could be moving up to greener pastures) and now that one of Cover's big money makers is leaving they're posting in Chinese to signal "hey its okay she's gone now" in a bid to get that market back in their pockets

You have to remember that japan is shady as fuck, when it comes to this kind of deal. They most likely told her that she will be terminated, and that she should sign a NDA and walk out smiling, and telling people it was 110% her choice. That's just how japan does things. Even if something horrible happened, they don't slam the door behind them.
