This is only partially addressed by mocap'ed 3D streams, and even that is both cumbersome and still not perfect, especially when it comes to object tracking
Vtubers are at a disadvantage for streams that could benefit from large freedom of movement or dexterity
which is why you often see them default to handcam streams (and even then, they have to be paranoid about what they reveal)
There's a lot of room for the tech to improve
That said, these shortcomings aren't showstoppers by any means
IMO half of the appeal of hololive isn't actually the anime avatar aspect - it's the fact that holos comprise a fairly close knit group of handpicked talents on a (part-time) idol journey
