>>4830254She was the face of reddit basically but that's it. EN took over for the casual/normalfag audience and usually if you start paying attention to Japanese Holos it isn't long before you start to realize "hey there's like 30+ of these, I'm gonna check them out" and very likely find someone else they like besides Coco. It's rather telling Pekora/Korone/Fubuki etc often have more English peppering their chats than Coco does in her non-reddit streams. She's there yeah but kind of a gateway if anything.
I for one always fucking hated meme review and hated the reddit pandering to the core and will be truly glad that that shit will be both gone forever and that redditor attention/upvote whores in particular are probably more assblasted by this than anyone else.
Despite all that she definitely shouldn't have graduated for the sake of Cover's image and solidarity. It'll be real hard to dispel the suspicion she was either fired or just softly pushed out. Japanese companies in particular have this way of not directly-firing you but sort of harassing you into leaving voluntarily - they will take the unwanted person and put them alone in a room with nothing to do all day, etc. They didn't totally isolate Coco as she could still get quite a lot done, but she was definitely restricted in a way reminiscent of Japanese corporate tactics.
