I've suspected it for a while but after tonight where mumei said she needed to ask for perms to stream the same game every day it basically confirmed to me that hololive girls need to submit a schedule of what they're streaming every single week, have each thing approved in advance and stick to the schedule or whatever.
So all that notarized busywork and the laziness of management and the one guy they have doing perms probably burned gura out. The reason why indies like being indies is because if you've got that zoomer sweetspot where you're in college and living in a dorm and streaming after your assignment or whatever you can get 100 viewers and make like 80,000 a year or something, which is great enough to live on.
Gura is a millionaire but she's in corpo hell where they make her fill out paperwork to take a shit, gura needs a secretary or something to do the work for her. Otherwise she will do nothing.
Keep in mind that "ask for perms" is also the easiest thing they can do, gura seems to want to be EL CREATIVE SHARK sometimes like with her Gura big brain games streams, but management probably has to review all the questions she's asking to make sure none of them will cause a yab, so she has to put in extra work just to get that done.
It's great for a highly motivated person who enjoys the hobby or an indie but she's reached a point where financially she doesn't have to try too hard and within the company they don't give her special attention for her projects, so why would she care when they're the ones losing money on american incompetence and japanese perms autism and senpaism and bullying.
You can say it's lazy but she has no motivation to be not-lazy.
