Such a funny article. She tells her husband and her husband just calls their daughter and finds out she's fine. Honestly, I believe this scam could work on people who lose their minds when they panic. Thing is, when you work at a cash register and go through training, you're told to just give up the money if anyone ever threatens you, and let the police handle the aftermath. So, some people probably end up treating these scams like any direct robbery/mugging and just hand over money immediately.
