A lot more people speak English than do Japanese, so EN tubers should theoretically get more views, but that isn't the case. Here are some hypotheses I have:
-Japanophones watch more vtuber content on average than Anglophones
-Japanese is the "default" language of anime-related media, so vtuber fans prefer Japanophone chuubas even if they don't speak Japanese
-Japanese chuubas, on average, got started earlier and thus have a first-mover advantage.
-Japanophone vtubers produce content that better appeals to fans than Anglophone vtubers do
