HoloEN isn't stagnating, it's viewership has been steadily decreasing for a long time. The only reason they're fine right now is that they're propped up by HoloJP which continues to be very successful.

In 5 years, vtubing will become just like the games industry now.
Hololive and Nijisanji will still be around as the "AAA" forces, with holo still being safe and stale, and niji still debuting 30 livers a year.
The middle of the market (EN small corpos) will all fade out, with their talent either going indie or getting swept up by holoniji.
Indies will thrive and be widely available to watch, but the scale of their ambition will be significantly diminished. The western scene will truly just be streamers with anime avatars and nothing else.

And JP mid and small corpos will continue to truck along like nothing happened, but will also have zero reach outside of Japan.
