>>4857947Let me explain this post for people who are confused.
Boomer Americans are extremely anxious about the rise of China, and have this idea that America will never be surpassed because of some holy destiny or whatever. So they are constantly making posts like this, coming up with copes for why China is actually on the verge of total collapse and the USA will always be number 1.
I guess Americans would have little to brag about if they didn't have the strongest economy anymore (we are the country with sky high murder rates, poverty, and bottom tier education!)
In reality, most countries have a very warm attitude towards China, as China is currently doing massive investment projects all over Asia, Africa, and Europe in order to open up trade routes for themselves. Meanwhile America is hated and reviled practically universally across the world. Europe has already essentially said they choose China over America.
China's population pyramid wasn't some mistake, it was a deliberate choice. Their own policy.
Recently they have lifted the one child policy, and are allowing people to have 3 children now. The idea of an unsustainable population pyramid is kind of a meme anyway, and is doubtful to cause any real problems. Especially in a communist state where the government can simply decree a raise in retirement age, or longer work hours, or whatever they need to pass any crisis. The wealth of the average Chinaman is absolutely skyrocketing right now. If it was cut by 20% or something because of the population pyramid, it's no skin off their nose.
Also the notion that China is facing "unrest" is kind of hilarious when the USA has cities burning down left and right.
