This would be like somebody bringing a present for a co-worker you worked with two years ago to your birthday. Anybody would be upset about that.

It is also perfectly reasonable to surmise that management may have seen the fanart and decided that if the continued presence of graduated talents content contributes to the frustration of their currently employed talents that removing them would be prudent so that nothing like that happened again. This decision could have well been made entirely without Nene's knwoledge or input.
