>>4905606I prefer mixed contents, both with VOD and livestreams. I also don't really have the time to watch full streams, even if I did, I watched them while working on something, and that makes me hard to concentrate on what they're streaming. I don't mind watching the archive, but whenever I gave the streams a full attention, it's becoming boring. I agree that the good part only happens for around 30 mins, the rest are just stale contents.
Sorry for bringing this here, but this example is the one that's on my mind right now. I watched live the Lapiz Lazuli extortion incident of Moona and Pekora back then. But I regret that I was not paying too much attention to it because I watched it while working on something. Can't be helped because Moona was boring af for an hour before Pekora extorted her. Had I known that it would be a historic event, I would pay more attention to that stream. That's the weakness of a livestream, not every minutes are real contents.
With VOD, every seconds is worthy of your attention. But as this anon

So both have pros and cons. Livestreams could produce some of the most unexpected and entertaining event like PekoMoon or Riksa climbing Taka's window. But most of the time the contents are non-existent. For most people who doesn't have too much time in their hands, that's a lot of wasted time. VOD is pure contents, but it depends a lot on the vtuber's skill at making skit and they have near zero actual interactions with their fans. That's why I prefers both if they're able to do it.
