Aloe got shit by some people from the public and she quit, Hololive would have had her back and she still had her fans around, she just wasn't cut for all the hate she got being part of such a big company.
The ball was on her side and she had all the freedom to say and do what she wanted.
Zaion was backstabbed by her coworkers and her company and villainized by their shitty community. She was immediately fired and never given a proper opportunity to say good bye or share her side of things.
Aloe's departure made a lot of people sad within Hololive, some cheered for it, others were neutral.
With Zaion most of the nijisanji fans were cheering for her termination and turned against her without hesitation.
The only difference is that they both became martyrs, but for different reasons and to different people.
This is honestly the only place where I saw multiple people come together in support for Zaion. Twitter and youtube were overrun with people just repeating the Nijisanji talking points.
