The Hololive branch is massive and Yagoo is wasting it right now.
I'm not shitting on him, he built the company into what it is.
But right now at this moment he's wasting its current potential.
Holocure and Idol Showdown show the power of the Hololive brand.
Make a generic copycat of an existing game, add Hololive to it and suddenly it's a huge hit.
It's what Pokemon was in the 90s, obviously not at that level, they don't have a cereal brand and an airplane. But in terms of gaming Hololive could release a tetris clone, an among us clone, a Mario Party clone, a kart racing game and a TF2 clone and they would all be big hits.

Yeah which is an awful way to start because those games are big, take a lot of dev time and take a big commitment from players.
It's the shit they could do after they have already polished their skills, learned how to really do game monetization, have a few well received games and can afford to make a bigger game.
Holocure and Idol Showdown are perfect because they are very easy to pick up and play.

i live in japan and i see hololive merch all the time, convenience stores, game center prizes, figures and various goods in stores. went to karaoke today and they had a big signboard for hololive and a special room dedicated to singing hololive songs. i havent really seen much for the things you mentioned but i'm also not super familiar with the characters, so maybe i just didn't notice.

The reason why Touhou and fgo hardly advertise is because they are at a level where they no longer need to advertise.

The same reason why fgo is lagging behind Monster Strike, which hardly advertises in mobile game revenue.
