>>49037386It’s probably me misreading the room by a long shot, but it honestly feels like the branch is the middle of a fanbase revolt. Like not only has there been constant drama and dwindling viewerships for a while now, now it comes out that Anykara basically pulled a black company move and has the talents in what is the vtubing equivalent of a bad record deal. This isn’t something that can be easily swept under the rug or that only affected what diehards view as disgruntled livers like Zaion, the cat is out of the bag as fans now realize “Oh shit, my oshi is impacted by this too”.
It’s made worse when you put two and two together and look back at some of the statements the talents made, like how Mysta wasn’t actually joking about only being paid 1% of the merch revenue. Or possibly how Pomu did all those otaku room reviews probably knowing full well that the talents barely made anything off of any merch that appeared there.
