>>49071222So I've long wondered about the fact that Gura seems to be the only EN following the "Idol" trajectory among Hololive.
She doesn't have as many Cover songs or Original songs as most JP members have, so there's a lot of criticism levelled against her for being "lazy".
A lot of chumbuds also seem more interesting in seeing her stream some dogshit kusoge rather than her working on her next song or doing dance practice for the upcoming EN concert.
She also doesn't have that many archived Karaokes, and her top viewed streams are mostly her meme streams with the "idol-like" streams being at #8 (2M karaoke), #10 (the gutted 3D Live), #14 (birthday 3D) and #40 (3D showcase).
She has had a grand total of 4 Covers, 1 Original song and 1 Original animation over the course of her 2.5 year career.
Most of the other EN girls don't do that many "idol" related activities, and those who DO, don't really get the views for it (e.g. Bae & Irys). Ina is the only one who has some amount of success with it, but her catalog is also only 3 Covers and one (1) original song.
So from these reactions, I had a question... Does the EN audience even WANT idol-like stuff?
> b-but EN concert sold outBecause it's the first ever HoloEN concert, and EN Holos have a surprisingly high number of Japanese fans (just like how JP holos had foreign fans visiting Japan for Holofes). Most of the people who were doing the early buy-ins were also Japanese fans.
There's also an argument to be made that HoloEN is FAR from it's potential because of laziness, lack of new gens, lack of managerial support, Tempus etc. but the stuff that they HAVE put out, is also in quite a bad shape view-wise.
The Valentine's story thing for example. People /here/ talk a lot about how they love their oshi etc. but the views on this series tell a different story.
~400k for the first video --> 78k for the highest of Step 2 --> 28k for the highest of Step 3
Universal praise, most people liked it when it came out... but not a single full route was played more than 30k times.
Assuming 5 repeats per person (since it's targeted content) that's just 6k people who like this content.
It seems the EN audience is just not into gachikoi related content, nor idolshit, nor music. They just want streams. Fauna was ultimately right.
