its plain as day, but 2021 cover is completely different from how they where years ago, you can blame:
- The chink incident (made them much more controlling over content)
- The Mio permissions incident (Korone will never go back to her kusoge made by a literal who company 10 hour streams)
- The insane increase in popularity in the west
- Cover never retracting on "we are an idol agency" statement, and instead forcing it even more on some of them, having even kinds like matsuri deleting past streams with males or subaru now pretending maimoto does not exist beside the random birthday aisatsu, rare exceptions are FBK, hell they hanged with nijis so much in the past but they they pretend they dont exist.
- Antis taking any moment of weakness to rabidly attack gen 5 resulting in aloe retiring, or just goddamn look at polka who caught depression and was rabidly attacked for doing a janitor joke, who did like 100% different content from what she did in the past, she literally could have been coco 2.0 if she took out her power limiters even to this day.
I like hololive but the company is so goddamn different to how lax it used to be in the past, they are just too damn big now, like holy shit looking at old 3D debuts with them in bikinis or mel acting slutty with coco are things that are never coming back, its like at some point coco realised she was just there for the money and not for the enjoyment anymore.
