>>49159942Merch is scraps but not everything else. The best example I can give is Nina and Millie also rosemi though this is anecdotal.
>Millie exposed her youtube analytics and it was in the $5k+ range for the month >Nina said voice packs alone are about what she used to make monthly. Some anon clocked that to be at minimum $3k-$4k or something. >Rosemi used to work full time then part time and then was able to quit to be a full time streamer while ironically streaming less overall compared to when she had a job. All lower end members, though technically everyone is a low end members. Enna talked about her taxes and it put her in the 80k range to 6 figures. I’m not saying they’re rich because I can’t account for expenses but they’re not worrying at all. In the case of indies The only indie I can give a 1 to 1 is Miori seeing how the others are twitch and it doesn’t translate the same. She’s the perfect example because she’s a solid mid 3 view, her vods beat a good portion of them, has good supers, has merch and 400k subs and she’s just doing alright at best. She can’t quit her job her merch started off problematic in both cost and quality so it’s not simple to just do it alone.
There are non vtuber streamers in similar situations not making close to what nijien makes. On the flip side I know a few with only 1 million subs that make more money than covers entire operation. There’s also some with triple gura’s subs not making as much as top holos.
It’s not cut and dry as exceptional people will always be exceptional while on the flip side average people need support to succeed.
Remember this including holoen and nijien together among the 40+ only 7-8 weren’t failures before this but all of them are making more money right now
