A [V]irtual You[Tuber] is a *character* that runs a YouTube channel. If a vtuber is like a puppet then an avatar is like a mask.
PewDiePie and Pokimane are not characters. That's who they are.
It's not Kson that runs the YouTube channelm it's Coco.
vtubers also make an effort to separate themselves from their IRL selves (which is why IRL talk is banned here)
So again, if you don't have that degree of separation then you can't consider yourself a virtual youtuber.
If you don't play the part of your character then you're not a vtuber.
If you don't even HAVE a character, you're not a vtuber.
So once more, using an avatar is NOT the same thing as being a vtuber.
