>>49398344If you're a kid watching Dora the explorer, would you consider her your friend?
She considers you her friend, and has said as much many times.
What would the reaction of such a kid be if Dora suddenly stopped the program and talked at length about how the kid shouldn't get attached to her and how she's not really his friend?
Naturally the kid would cry.
> kids haven't grown upDo you look back fondly upon your memories of watching some childhood cartoon or anime that you liked?
There will be at least some things that you used to watch that more "modern" audiences shit on it, and even if you understand that there were flaws with it, you would have enjoyed it at the time and hence have a good memory of it.
And it's not like there isn't any adult entertainment that's not similar.
Do you see Late Night Show hosts pausing their show to tell their audience that they're not your friend?
Do you see movie actors stop in the middle of the movie and explain to the audience that none of this shit is real?
Do you see musicians and bands telling you that they're not your friend?
None of them do, because the relationship is always KNOWN to be one-sided. The audience knows it, the entertainer also knows it.
There's no reason to bring it up other than her own vainglory at wanting others to know an opinion of hers that's been common knowledge since the fucking 60's.
It took off the "mask" of an entertainer and truly revealed what she was at her core.
It's only natural that some people did not like what they saw.
And naturally, once the mask is removed, you cannot just put it back and continue the play as if nothing happened.
