>>49423401Maybe you're right, and maybe they're way more entertaining than most corpo vtubers, but there's a reason why corpos like holo or nijinsaji exist that shit out vtubers, and AFAIK nothing like that exists for flesh streamers. And no, I'm not talking about management companies that sign individuals to help them with merch or sponsorships; I'm specifically talking about brands that debut groups of streamers as their property.
A good chunk of viewers who watch corpo vtubers do it because they (mostly) know what to expect from the talents due to the precedent those companies have set and their existing guidelines, and that's important for people who want to get emotionally invested. Sure, lately all sorts of yabs have happened from places like NijiEN, and half HoloEN girls doing 180 degree turn on male collabs made some people question corpo consistency and quality, but when you look at indies, it's way worse there. Because they're "free" you never know when a chuuba will completely change their model, content direction, start being a SJW, fuck off with crowdfunded money, start doing face cams no one asked for or will simply stop streaming due to monetary reasons. There are exceptions, but overall even to this day, being a corpo vtuber fan seems to be the safer choice for most.
