I think they did want to do it but held off and saw how Hololive EN is first.

As much as people give Holostars a hard time (and so do the girls because many of them won't collab with them because lolidolshit) if it's anyone that can put male vtubers on the map it would be Holostars EN.

i feel like the designs for JP holostars make people think its going to be overtly faggy though without giving them a chance, as compared to the niji designs where yeah there are a lot of pretty boys but they still mostly seem like they could be in an anime targeted a general audience, maybe with the valz guys pushing it a bit

Yeah but I think one thing that you have to be ready for is for them to get haters with one wrong or accidental move. Without a doubt they might be pretty successful like holoEN is if they scout the right people with talent and not just some random guys that play games and do nothing else for effort.
(not comparing to holostars I just mean in general)

It's not just the girls. Astel was worried that his fujo fanbase would get pissed at his impromptu Ollie collab.

Anyway if HomostarsEN happens they need to get actual good designs because as good as some of the Stars are their designs are fucking terrible and are an instant debuff.
