>>4971471Wat? Yes they do. All that "le wholesome" shit reddit keeps going on about as if it's some unique miracle? That -IS- idol culture, fucktards. Being a prim and proper lady is idol as hell. They don't all have to be naive kids but generally their attitudes, inclinations etc trains them towards being pleasant people to be around. Holo fans see the difference between that, and the vulgar-for-the-sake-of-being-vulgar twitch ethot meta, and vastly prefer the Holo seiso-ness. Sometimes breaching that properness =/= they're now tained forever when it's like 2% of the time vs twitch thots being like that 98% of the time.
They love the culture, or at least parts of it, even if they don't realize it or can't articulate it. They assume idol culture strictly means unicorns aka people obsessed with whether they've ever had dick and trying to gatekeep them from that IRL etc. No. That's actually a minority of the culture. There are idols in Japan that have straight up had babies and gotten married and everyone knows it and they just keep going anyway. reddit doesn't know what they're talking about straight-up.
I guarantee Cover staff look over all that "le yagoo idol dream dead, lol go Coco XD" shit and cynically go "yeah they think they're 'winning' at some vague notion they think is unjust, but no they're still nestled in the palm of our hand and don't even realize it."
