>>5008926Imma try to spin this positively for you if you need help coping. For Kiara, the "worst" part of Yakuza is mostly just when they go on another 30 minute lore drop of people just standing around talking vaguely about complicated political intrigues. You know how it goes, we already talked about the game/series pacing issues, because it comes up every other time. That's where her eyes glaze over, she's getting bored and starts to whiiiiiine, because yeah that shit ain't fun and she's bad at dealing with having to pay attention and be silent (you can almost see her struggle through the screen, should I talk? I've been just nodding along, not understanding anything, for over ten minutes now. But this is an ~important cutscene~, so I can't interrupt. Uuuugh when is this finally over?). Which makes it (the game, her stream, whatever) come off worse than it really is, because for how bad these segments leave a noticable impression, they're not THAT much of the total playtime, and the rest is usually actually an at least good to great at best stream.
So when the game is actually not in loredump hell, but just in regular walking around/ questing/ battling gameplay, she's actually quite relaxed and has fun (or at least has not visibly no fun), because there she's free to talk about anything she wants, either on the game (if something noteworthy is happening) or off the game when there isn't, and instead fill the air with one of her cute tangents or whatever else she wants to talk about at the time.
So yeah, just hold your breath and "endure" it, if you must, because it'll only be around two more marathon streams (so, normal streams for her), until we are all free from it again. Hopefully she takes some lessons from that experience in the future (we kinda already had the same with FE, which also dragged a bit in the end), even if just to pace herself better and probably be more careful before committing to yet another 60h RPG playthrough. I certainly wouldn't mind more varied content in the future, doesn't mean she has to become a FOTM chaser like everyone else, but at least shorter / one-off games from different genres would be a better palate cleanser and make for more digestiable content in the long run (not everyone is willing to commit the same hours watching, or hopping on as an outsider in part 643 of a 185249367 part big RPG which at the end not only the audience is already burnt out on, but she herself is, and the stream quality suffers - also those tend to needlessly occupy too much slots in an already precious schedule time, which could be used better instead of "wasted"). For how much she says she "likes" playing RPGs, it's certainly sometimes not readily apparent why, or what she actually likes about them, if she has a bad time dealing with some of the staple aspects of the genre (heavy/dry lore she's averse to getting into, or complex mechanics she's not interested to learn, etc.). I mean, sure, if in the end it's mainly just about ~pretty anime girls~ for her, those aren't exclusive to rpgs anymore, she could for example go back to easier mobile games any time (disclaimer: do not go back to mobile games, chimken).
