Why make a hack and not use your own engine (or some open source engine) instead?
That way there's a non zero chance holos might actually play your finished product.
They'd never touch hacks because Nintendo would fucking lose it.

Havent implemented her yet, she's actually gonna be a unique class, basically Pirate with swords (Captain). Unique promotion option gives her Locktouch and axes.

She's one half of my Samson-Aran thing. (The other is Kiara)

Promotion changes for this hack

Hero no longer gets Ranger, gets Desperado instead. (Horseback sword+lance user with fog vision and lockpick access)

Great Knight removed from Cavalier line. Replaced with Templar (horseback sword+lance+light user)

Wyvern Knight has swords now, but is removed from Pegasus Rider line.

Warrior now removed from Pirate, replaced with Seafarer (sword+axe with enhanced waterwalk)

Rogue receive +1 move and Steal+

Valkyrie renamed to Missionary, is now the name of the new Pegasus promotion (lance+light)

Summoner removed, Darkstrider added. (Dark+sword, horseback)

And entirely new classline.

Dark Maiden: staff infantry unit Promotes to either Shadow Wing or Sorceress.

Sorceress: infantry, staves+dark+light
Shadow Wing: pegasus, staves+dark

In this world, the cast is divided into their lore types.

Humans are in Polaria
Kemos aka animal people are in Savan
Elves, angels and the like are in Jour De Nuit
Demons and other similar creatures are in Nero Eternalis
And sea creatures and people are in Cita Azur.

The big bad is Negazion, aka anti country.
Blancopolis is a theocracy...a corrupt one (is the incel nation)
Anakondia is a nation of literal snake women amazons. (is the sjw/seething women nation)

This route will have gorgons on the regular. One even will be a boss complete with her own pallette.

I also named the tribes various hair colors they usually use + snakes.

I unfortunately cannot give you the specifics, because I cannot access FE builder yet.

For general overviews tho, Sora and A'chan have more or less the same growths and bases as their replaced character. Flare is a typical archer (yeah I know, she wouldnt like it) but less str issues. Noel would be a bit faster than your usual armors. Aruran would be the fast and accurate Fighter, while Suisei is our unga bunga option ala Pannette. Ina has good magic growth but poor str growth and con. Mio has a more average base/growth mag and better str if you wanna Darkstrider. Miko has good mag growths but kinda bad bases, typical cleric stuff. Izuru would probably be bulkier than other future options, at the cost of meh str. Ayame has low hp, but ok atk and good spd/skl. Also low con. Temma is our balanced Cavalier, while Mori is our offensive Cavalier (inb4 horse porn innuendos). Pekora wields light magic and has great lck, along with Moona who has better mag growth than str, albeit having higher str than mag at base.

(You) as male is Eliwood while female is planned to be a unique anima user.

Botan is a unique promoted class. She's a Lion Queen, a mix of Sniper and Laguz. Well rounded bases/growths. Gura is another unique, but unpromoted class. Speedster, but lacks con and meh atk.

All managers will be pre-promotes. Enma is a Swordmaster, meh offensive power, big Spd/Skl bases. Shinove would be our easy-use bruiser, with well rounded bases/growths all over.

Currently, Shion has Full Iron Body, which blocks off Seal skills affecting her. I do plan to give her my own concoction: Smug Prodigy. (If at 75% and above hp, unit has +10% to hit and crit)

As for Pekora, I drafted Chaos Rabbit. (Gain +1 atk/+5lck for every unit within 2 spaces of Pekora; max 10 stacks OR if more allies than enemies within 2 spaces, +3 to def/res/lck, otherwise, mag and skl gets buffed instead)

Foobs unfortunately is NPC, because too many sword users (inb4 remove the men)

For Ayame, within 3 spaces of her, reduces Def/Res by 1 (?)

Noel has the very basic Smite, inspired by HoloAlt (her mace is effective against armor and dragons/wyverns)

Calliope gets Lifetaker.(heals after you deal the killing blow)

Have you guys reached out to /wg/? Do you have a modder that is experienced with FE8?
Sounds like a long project, given the scope and all the characters you want to include.
If I were you, I wouldn't go too long in terms of story, just let the gameplay and fun mid-battle bits drag out the gameplay.
