Things are balancing out. Coco was always a special case, in good times and bad, and she burned bright but burned out quicker. For many reasons. Hololive itself is in no danger and I don't think you will see other departures. I think you will see talents and managers both becoming closer and more understanding, to avoid another loss of a big talent.

hololive has a business model, where they seem to want their people to be family friendly and kind of like disney characters. some who joined a year or more ago now feel themselves constrained.

the company brings in big numbers now. they will probably go through a transition period, where they switch out with talents that are "on board" with the culture and the business model and will work with it.

Because things reached this point months ago. Coco had ideas but they were shutdown, partly because of the past where she went "too far" and partly because of the China shit.
Everyone since then, new and old, has mostly adapted to what is now acceptable under YT and Cover rules. Coco was from an earlier time and she decided she felt too boxed in. A dragon is not going to be tamed. Rather than phone it in and pretend, she would rather go indie. It's an understandable decision and she is not trying to start some avalanche to finish hololive. Which is why both she and every other streamer is being clear that this was not forced.

I guess it depends on what you consider a healthy Hololive. For me, when I consider the likelihood of phasing into a brand-friendly hololive with fake smiles and feigned enthusiasm it disgusts me. Bending the talents' known dispositions and styles to fit into this mold, I just consider it dead at that point.

The only reason we haven't been hearing much controversies from other girls is because of how serious the case of haato and coco were.

I want to be optimistic and say that things are going to become a little more open because no one wants another graduation. Coco is one of a kind in her behavior, appeal, and her treatment by management. Some may have had some kind of grudge against her and wanted to keep her from doing anything. In the end, she's leaving but leaving a lasting legacy. As well as getting a month to run wild with collabs. It's about the best ending someone could get.

Coco is the first time that creative differences is the largest reason which can be cited. That's not black company behavior. That's agreeing to go separate ways and Cover was dumb for letting it happen. Even if they let Coco collab more, instead of placing some block on her, she could still be leaving when her project proposals get denied.
They know how popular these girls are and they need some freedom to explore their creativity. Otherwise more will leave.
Especially when the company will do nothing but still take a substantial cut of the money coming in.

Realistically it can go up to 2025, but it depends if Cover can stay ahead on the tech curve and production value.
VR is getting more accessible, more and more people are knowledgeable in rigging. Lets be real, right now fanarts, fan animations and music production surpasses Cover's own output.
Cover is pretty fucking lucky stepping in gold and virialized through organic means. Alive, sure, I can say it can go up beyond 2025 even. But it will suffer the wave of change, to appeal broader markets. You will get mad at the changes, and new suckers will get into it. You will move on, and its up to your Oshi to stand against the test of time.

No cap, VShoujo will eventually encapsulate western markets within 2 years, how much I hate to admit it. You just have to wait for non-twitch thot humor, with japanese streaming style to rise again, since definitely Yagoo is looking forward pandering Asian viewers again.
They're looking solely on metrics and Asian (not necessarily only Chinese) to be very swing heavy to Japanese styled streams.

They got popular by Miko saying Nigger and Coco making a comedy news show that featured drugs and other degeneracy (and Fubuki being Fubuki, but that's not relevant, since she has always been relatively sanitized).

Hololive may be a career if Cover wises up and lets things last that long. If Vtubing is destined to be a long spanning industry. Of course, it failed. But that was the reasoning. Unlike the other suspensions I can see the logic behind this one and depending on how it was handled behind the scenes with Coco and Haato it's not even necessarily heinous.

I think sooner rather than later. Cover is a VR/AR Company 1st and foremost. Would not be surprised at all if the sanitation of content is a prelude to the sale of the company and tech. Cover/Hololive name will remain but probably not in the way it is today.

The company isn't going to implode, it will just gradually become a husk of itself. As vtubing continues competing companies are going to become better and more of them will pop up. Also being an indie will become more viable as the technology and online culture gets better/bigger. Once more holo graduations start to happen, Cover will have to hire new gens that won't be as good since they won't have the clout to continue with their miracle hires. Eventually Hololive is going to look like Smosh and Cinemassacre where there's a bunch of randos with no talent and the people that you were there for are either gone or burnt out.

Top tier artists and riggers have a "no individual orders" policy.
VTuber corporates mastered cross-promotion (both in promoting their talent and gatekeeping) the way Machinema never did.
Furthermore VTubing is expensive and while corporates do not foot every bill, most of them foot the initial model + assets which can be very expensive.
Corpos have better access to support (both Youtube and Twitch).
I think Vtuber corporate culture will survive regardless of whatever happens to Cover Corp.
