Ayamy-Mama thankfully has a pretty good beginner's grasp on English. She legitimately does her reps. Out of all the JP collabs she could do, one with Mel, Ayamy, and Nabi is not going to be too bad since they're all studying English and I'm sure they'll try hard knowing that Ame is the only one there who doesn't speak Japanese.

The big issue is that there's 5 talents, each with a massive following. That's over 6 million subscribers between 5 people, who always expected to interract with one another and it creates this volatile environment where things can easily get out of hand in these cases. JP have much more members and for years had nowhere near the fanbase and viewership that they currently have. Now there's 6 generations of HoloJP, and their constant collabs are viable while ENs are not for the reasons stated above.

I had zero interest in Ame, when EN first was announced i was sure Ina was going to be by favorite. Her design is amazing, i'm all for horror shit and a Cthulhu chubba would be perfect for me. I still like Ina of course, but Ame is not only my favorite, she's my oshi. And it was a gradual slow realization. I started watching her 6 months ago regularly but only realized she was my oshi around 4 months ago. Its all about her personality, i don't even like the games or most things she likes.

She has improved a shit ton as a streamer and it took her until the Mario Galaxy stream for her to become my oshi. Goslings really do look back on those first 4 months in rose tinted shades.

I'll be honest. My first real exposure to Ame was from a >clip I saw back in November where she's reading her detective diaries. I was on my lunch break at work and I was engrossed by her voice, so I couldn't stop watching. The very next day I did the same thing and watched some more random clips of Ame and I found myself chuckling and no longer feelig stressed about work. About a week after that I started tuning into her streams and the rest is history. Now I think about her regularly and her streams are the highlight of my week.

Speaking as a day 1 Teamate, that period was my first exposure to Ame and the time when I "got to know her," so to speak. I think it makes sense that those early months have a lot of sentimental value for people who have been there from the beginning. Streaming, like any form of entertainment, is highly subjective in terms of an individual's enjoyment, and to dismiss a person's thoughts on a particular period in an entertainer's career because of subjective factors is kind of dumb. I like Ame's early streams because they make me nostalgic and sentimental, and that isn't an invalid reason for thinking those streams are great. I do agree that Ame has, in general, gotten better at streaming, though.

I care more about how they earn an okay sum of money from work that isn't their own. The flanderization is something I've learned to accept, as I realize it's impossible to understand a personality through 2-4 minute clips of someone. If clipfag channels made videos out of pure interest and enjoyment, rather than easy clickbaitable money, I wouldn't care half as much as I do.

I agree with you mate. I was day one teamate too. I just really didn't do my strema reps in 2020 because I wasn't really vibing with her even though I loved her antics and who she was. Now I fully love her and watch every stream because she is just on a different level now. So sorry if I can't really watch those old streams, I too busy paying attention to the new ame streams. I totally understand why you love those streams and I didn't mean to slander teamatea who love them. Maybe some day I will watch those vods but I will have to fight the cringe inside of me that sees a different ame.
