The problem with MGR was a bunch of Metal Gear fans joined Selen for the first time and decided she wasn't living her life correctly.
This is all on Selen though, because obviously a well-liked niche series is going to draw in those niche fans.
She could have just continued to play like a retard and just chilled out and not taken losing repeatedly more seriously. But she wanted to finish the game in one stream, and she was worried that her reputation as "le pro fps gamer girl" would be damaged if she sandbagged, so she chose spite instead.
Never a good idea to spite your supporters, no matter how annyoing they're being.
