However, then as now, that means nothing to yt at all: likes and dislikes show engagement and that's what matters. Doesn't matter whether it's positive or negative, they can sell that to potential advertisers since it proves some fags out there hate something enough to bother to click and see the stream however briefly meaning the can advert that shit up.
Ignoring that shit entirely as you intend to do is the best option. If more antis realized this they'd actually achieve something more than hate watching shit they don't like and leaving an impotent dislike that only helps the channel they hate so much.
