What do you think is the correct way to approach "lore" and "backstories"?

Do it like HoloX and Council with a deep detailed interconnected narrative, or just a cliffsnotes like everyone else?

It ends up being just wasted effort
With your pic for example it was an autistic tranny's rejected pitch for a chunni lightnovel that he then tried and repurpose into a vtubing gen
But even if the "source material" was a masterpiece of literature the girls wouldn't be able to live up to it

At the end of the day vtubing is most similar to improv, you just need a vague guideline and the good talent will take it places

Vague backstory that you sometimes reference, make it a small quirk of the stream. Vague so it doesn't contradict your stories on stream.
