If I were Konami I'd be happy to have someone like Pomu, especially when her MGS obsession if financially exploitable. She if the perfect candidate for encouraging people to buy things that people normally wouldn't.
I remember when Konami put their focus away from console gaming to focus their efforts more into the mobile and gambling sectors. When they announced the pachinco MGS fans were angry at Konami over how they were milking the series and allocating resources towards those ventures.
