I think its a mix of that, it being past its FOTM phase, and Dragoons being filtered with Selen losing her mind over APEX, to where she's making that her brand. They're probably no longer invested because of that.

Yes and no.
They already beat Hololive on income but thst's because they have 1 billion vtubers but Holo vtubers earn money since they have a salary on top of more viewers individualy (that also means more money).
I prefer the Holo approach even if my beloved dragon is on Niji.

They expected better and got locked into contracts. After they might just hope since they're in a big corpo that it's possible to turn things around, but if they leave they think the little audience they have won't follow. Either way it's no secret that a lot of Niji's vtubers only treat it like a hobby for obvious reasons.
