- They are shit at marketing themselve or catering to a bigger audience and try to cater to Hololive
- Game permission for boring ass games
- People prefer anime girls over anime boys
- they aren't at the level of a goku or a Zoro ,people don't give a shit about them ,they are vtuber, nothing interesting for them ,no lore ,no badass moment, while the girls just need to be funny and cute to become more popular than some anime girl

I'm not sure that they necessarily "flopped" per se, but I have a theory as to why they never achieved the same popularity as their female counterparts. Hololive built up their brand as a CGDCT brand, so the boys simply didn't "fit in" very well. They can't collab with the girls too much since that would ruin the CGDCT atmosphere, but the ensuing lack of collabs also limits their exposure and, in turn, growth. Additionally, most people who watch Hololive watch for girls rather than boys, so most just don't have much interest in them. The people who are interested in boys had already started following other corpos (like Nijisanji) before Cover Corp started their male branch.

Tempus is doing better than StarsJP because 8 out of 10 HoloEN girls at least acknowledge their existence, scaling all the way up to doing big and frequent collabs with them. The relationship is friendlier and they're more like 1.5-class citizens. As for JPs, Yagoo will never ever find even 1/10 of his own Kuzuha equivalent with the current Cover status quo, so it's a wonder why he keeps debuting males.
They're still extremely inferior to any normal streamer. If I want a retarded clown I can verbally abuse, I'd watch Quin or Lacari. If I wanted a god gamer, I'd watch T1. There's no reason to watch male vtubers. They offer nothing.

EN3 doesn't need to be a miracle, it just needs to exist to bring back excitement for the branch. HoloEN was basically put on the background for a year and a half while Cover was more interested in pushing their new 4 faggots down the throats of an audience who was at best apathetic to them, and lo and behold the obvious happened and that didn't fucking work. The only way for a new EN gen to be a disaster is if they end up following Kronii's steps and reduce their streaming frequency to the bare minimum (or worse, current Gura/Sana), and also collabs with the homos from the get go. Otherwise as long as they are a thing, get close to their senpai and do consistent collabs and, in the best case scenario, one of them is a Koyori-type who also takes the role of event organizer then even if they don't get as big as Myth did back in the day (which is almost impossible to do) then they are already set up to fulfill the role of the third gen because even Sankisei took a while to become as big as they are today.

HolostarsJP is full of underachievers that are seemingly ok with not growing. Roberu is the biggest holostar they have and the only one to consistently get more than 1K viewers. He networks a lot, is a chatterbox and has talkative host energy. HolostarsEN was created with the very obvious intent of mixing them together with the girls since a lot of the EN girls support that branch. Now that wasn't their purpose, but they were given special priorities because of some people in management wanting the starsEN+holoEN dynamic to be more like nijisanji. Management lifted the collab ban on starsEN and allowed Magni to collab with Mori due to "demans" from "fans". Months later, and this pretty much just backfired. Mori and Kronii have pretty much just attached themselves to Vesper and Magni, and show no interest in promoting the branch further or collabing with any of the other guys.

So holostarsEN is just slightly more successful than the JP branch on account of them being in English, basically. Though they do have some members that are slightly hungrier for success and don't seem to me complacent. Whatever the case may be, they're still massive fucking boring faggots and I'm glad they're all but forgotten except the same queers that take up the chance to collab with the girls to leech. Fuck that entire branch and fuck yagoo.

The funniest part is how Roberu and Astel, who are the only ones in the JP branch who aren't complacent with their current situation, are also some of the most hated members by the core Holostars audience. Even in /stars/ you see people shit talking those two more frequently than the others, tho Aruran is up there as well after the redesign. Astel even going as far as removing "Holostars" from his twitter name and only really collabing with his branchmates when he's invited, and both were also part of the 3 JP members who were absent from their Rust server (the third one being Oga who suffers from motion sickness and can't play shooters). They know their current predicament and how if they follow the others nothing will change and the branch might end up losing even more, but their garbage fanbase is more concertned in keeping the small and cozy feeling and are incapable of understanding that they're partially responsible for the standardized merch treatment. In summary most the guys are boring and fine with mediocrity, their fans are retarded and also fine with mediocrity but for some reason it's the fault of Hololive fans who don't give two shits about them that they're a failure.

Not just anons, a lot of people gave them the benefit of the doubt early on but something ended up making the interest in Tempus plummet. Either it was the mixed collabs, Vesper's suspension, Tempus 2 debuting too fast, the schizo chapter in Japan or maybe all of them and other smaller events that made them go from being much bigger than their JP senpai and even pulling punches against some low tier HoloEN/JP members to now being around just as big as StarsJP, with most of the members being banished to the 3view hell and their sub growth being just as slow as them, if not slower for some members.
