I feel like people don't appreciate how much an illness can fuck you up. I used to have a pretty good falsetto. Then I caught a flu and strep throat back to back. Even after being better I had this weird lingering cough for a month, and even after that went away, I can't sing as high as I used to. Or if I can it's really breathy and weak.

It kinda sucks that Mumei took a semester off from school to focus on her health and Hololive work/ streaming, but somehow have all 3 get worse than when she was in school. I really do wonder what she'll do now, since she her health is objectively worse than before her school hiatus and somehow has the 3rd worst streaming time in EN and got really behind in her Holo work.

She said that when her asthma is acting up, it ends up going a couple of months before going away. Real problem is that she kept streaming instead of resting her voice, then had to record a bunch of shit that she’d been putting off until the cough went away due to upcoming deadlines.

Same here, hasn’t been really bad for me for me in nearly a decade. In Mumei’s case, she said the last time it happened was around the time lockdowns started, so she kept getting dirty looks from people because of her public coughing fits.
