It's a hotel level con. It's not supposed to be huge, otherwise they'd be a convention center con. With that said it was chill last year. Had fun. It's basically a con for indies and whatever people the bigger names want to throw at it. Costs the companies very little since everyone is just streaming in.

I wouldn't fly in for this con but if you're local or a not too far road trip it's worth it. Maybe a cheap southwest flight at max.

Holos also don't need offkai. I'd be surprised if offkai was paying anything at all to the companies as opposed to just selling it as a way to get more exposure. Surprised they got niji en both last year and this year but I figure it's seen as cheap marketing/engagement due to the remote aspect

Not even an antimasker but I fucking hate cons that enforce a mask policy. Im so sick of looking at cosplayers with masks on. Partly the reason why Im not going to that much cons recently.

Whats not comfortable is wearing a mask when everyone is just taking it off the moment they exit the con grounds. It makes the whole exercise pointless. Happened at Fanime this weekend. Masks were required inside the con center but the moment people went out of the areas the con controlled, masks came off. No one was wearing them in hotel rooms, or while eating, partying, drinking or hanging out.
