>>50687636You're wrong on a bunch of things. First of all, any EN retiring from both companies won't really be a big hit. EN is fucking nothing, their numbers are abysmal across the board. EN viewers moved on but JP industry strives even more than in covid years. EN branches were and always will be seen just as a pleasant bonus. When evaluating which talents leaving will hurt the company the most it's obvious that you should look only at JP ones. Gura leaving will tank the moral of EN branch but it's not like they're doing that much anyway. Most JPs will probably be just a bit sad and continue streaming like nothing happened because most of them didn't really interact with her and have nothing to say about her other than "Gura-chan kawaii". Hololive JP viewers won't budge and EN viewers will probably be sad but losing the girl who literally never streams won't do much.
If we're talking about Hololive, I'd say that Marine, Pekora or Miko leaving would be absolutely devastating and could lead to collapse, also Suisei and Sora would be pretty bad. Suisei is a valuable asset with traction her songs get and Sora might be unpopular but losing daisenpai would absolutely tank the motivation of everyone in the company.
If we're talking Niji, their best content is collabs and big events because outside of them they mostly do their own stuff that's interesting only to fans of a specific liver. Losing Vox wouldn't do shit, he's not nearly as popular as he used to be and a lot of his content is niche stuff that only dedicated viewers tune into. From EN branch maybe losing someone like Elira or Millie would be the worst but it still wouldn't do shit for JP branch, most people watching NijiJP wouldn't even bat an eye if the whole NijiEN graduated tomorrow. The most valuable people in Niji are those that do a lot of networking, participate in a lot of collabs and organize events, so I'd say someone like Ryushen, Oliver, Sasaki, Shiina etc. Definitely not Salome.
