The only character you are "playing" is the one you're incarnating is the "character" you play in Hololive. That's why if you don't sound like you usually sound like on your streams it's a failure of your voice acting.
That same criticism was made to Pekora about 1-2ish year ago. Since then she worked on sounding more natural aka more like she usually sounds on stream aka more like "Pekora". And she improved since then.
