>>51279958It's probably used to show off to investors/potential partners. While Cover can show off each individual channel, it's nice to have something from YouTube/Alphabet, Inc. directly to show off (sort of appealing to a third-party authority). You can have your wall and use the quantity of buttons in negotiations as well.
>>51280528If this is about why the talents get sent one too, it could be just part of building a sense of loyalty/belonging too. Cynical take is that every time they see the button, it gives them a sense of accomplishment, but also ties that feeling to their time and efforts w/ Cover Corp. The simplest answer is because it's just Cover acknowledging the talents effort.
>>51294669There's so much upside with just buying another copy. Like even syndicates/mobs know the carrot and stick approach. Maybe AnyColor was unfamiliar with YouTube in the beginning, but it's been so long. This is like the most minuscule of changes to make and expenses to pay. Being cheap is also about being smart, but the more time goes, the more it feels like AnyColor had a winning formula in the beginning and now they can't innovate or reinvent themselves anymore.
