somewhere along the line a subathon changed from: "you have to keep streaming as long as we're paying you" to "you have to pay me to keep streaming". the former was an endurance test to see how long a streamer could stream consecutively without sleeping or being away from the PC for too long. at some point it became acceptable for streamers to sleep and go afk for long periods of time while the timer ticked down. blame the retards that keeping dumping thousands on these lazy streamers

Marine is #2 in Hololive in subscriber count, behind Gura. Marine is #2 in channel views, just barely behind Pekora (551m to 558m). Marine is consistently among the top 5 in CCV. She was #6 in Super Chats in 2022.

Marine's weakness, at least when it comes to total hours viewed, is that her streams tend to be short.

Subathons/Donothons worked when 6k stream would be considered biggest and people didn't donate/gift like crazy. Nowadays streaming is too big for proper donations I feel like. Still doesn't excuse the scumminess of donothons today.

NTA, but that's incorrect. There have always been clear discrepancies between that chart and actual watch hours calculated on Holo_Data / VStats. Apparently they separate gaming and non-gaming streams based on how YT categorize those streams.
If anything, that chart actually got Pekora's and Migo's number close to Holo_Data's this time ("only" few hundred thousands hours watched short of actual values). Usually it's several millions off.
Heck, people asked them on Twitter and they admitted as much, so there really isn't any point arguing about that

But Koyori had more watch hours than Miko in May (2.64M). That should have put her right after Pekora on that chart - or at least, easily within top 5 taking possible deviations into account.
There isn't any reason for Miko to be there and not Koyori without some weird fuck ups
