The way I see it, an individual Niji talent might be interesting in their own right, but they'll always be held back by the amount that Niji is willing to invest into them. Cover invests a lot into their talents on their models, 3d projects (like their recent new studio), merch that is unique and compliments the talent, collaborations and events and fan interaction, etc, but its clear Niji doesn't really do the same.
Just from a business perspective, it seems it'll hurt them soon if they keep pumping out talent without actually leaning into the talent and promoting them and their individuality, and if Zaion's accounts are to believed, Niji barely worked with the talent to create their models and lore anyways.
And frankly, looking at their additions from the past year and a half feels REALLY cookie cutter. While Rose/Selen/Enna had interesting designs and models that fit their persona, newer talent literally looks like templates with different hair colors. I don't see this particular direction that great for long term growth.
