It's unfortunate old MMOs like that died before streaming caught on, and well before vtubing, because I think games like FFXI are great for streamers who you just want to grind or dip in and out of co-op with friends while having a long, laidback stream talking to chat. It sort of falls somewhere between Monster Hunter, Minecraft and old JRPGs. Vtubers like all three of these, so why not something in the middle?
Unfortunately we don't live in a world where they can have their own server. It's fun whenever you get impromptu Minecraft collabs where they PvP or fight the Ender Dragon or hunt for an elytra. An old school MMO is basically just that.
