If you've been following some other small corpos, PixelLink is another one in a long line of quality chuubas.

Their roster is incredibly high spec in comparison to other small corpos though, so I'm not surprised you think of them as the only one who can save EN vtubers.

I feel like we’re starting to notice a shift in the EN vtuber industry. Big corpos seem to be stagnating somewhat while small corpos continue to grow. I don’t think small corpos are gonna grow past Holo/Niji, but it’s nice to see that you can actually find success now outside of the big corpos.

Phase, idol, and vreverie are doing just fine. EIEN was quite successful initially but it was killed by yabs. Prism has stagnated sure, but Kawaii still just has a fuckload of oil barons because it’s the GFE corpo. Also, all of the corpos I just mentioned have all released a new gen recently other than Kawaii, which is currently working on a new gen afaik. Pixel Link hasn’t been here very long, but what seemed to be a DOA microcorp actually ended up exceeding a lot of people’s expectations.

The big corpos have lost far more than what small corpos/indies have gained
Vshojo isn't exactly a "big corpo" but it too has lost more than it gained (even ironmouse's subathon is getting less numbers than last year)
At this rate, it would take years just for small corpos to "catch up", and that's assuming Cover and Anycolor stop being retarded during all that time

Both stumbled into EN success (well more CN for Anycolor) earlier by leveraging their massive JP popularity

Streaming in the west is down as a whole, while it seems to be getting stronger in JP and maybe KR and CN
Unless streaming in general picks back up, or the next big corpo gens are really successful, I still think that the overall audience will still remain stagnant are decline further by this time next year
Obviously, numbers will increase this summer, but that's just seasonal and the same thing happened in previous years

The truth is the demand isn't there. Everyone is doing the same boring knock off Hololive schtick and it isn't getting them anywhere. Notice the most successful corpos in the EN sphere are either doing something different (Niji, Phase, vshojo before they exploded due to internal politics) or they have an unlimited amounts of money to throw around (Idol). Everyone else doing asian idol kayfabe is going to continue being a 2 or 3view shitter.

Catalogfags mistakenly believe that if they can keep samefagging bumps of a general and if enough people do it with enough generals this translates into views for some reason and a small corpo takeover. This has never actually translated into views though. Popular generals have a lot of people in them because the bigger EN corpos are actually popular in an organic manner.
