They can specify what videos they want to keep. Setsuna, Kudou Chitose, Izumo Kasumi, Warabeda Meiji and Suzuhara Lulu, Myuzumi... all still have at least some content left.
I think some want their content removed due to new deals, like Moruru, Melissa or Ako.

I wonder how many vtubers at Nijisanji and Hololive consider going indie. Henya wasn't that limited compared to the major corpos but still decided that in the long run it was better to start from scratch with a character, model, and channel that she owns. Their are many benefits for a corpo vtuber but after several years there has to be a point where they grow tired of having to obey management.
