What I think is that she actually wants to quit because she's not taking off. It's the same situations as a few months ago when she said she was considering stopping because her subscribers weren't really "supporting her" (dishing out money)

Plenty of vtubers could spare the $ to get themselves models, assets and gear, but couldn't put in enough time and soul to actually make it.

On the other hand, many chubbas started out with scuffed free or handmade models, some even with bouncy PNGs. Many used a cheap mic, webcam tracking and a dated PC to get themselves going.

Lots of chuubas get absolutely drowned with money (an order of magnitude more than Rikotan) and waste it all in bullshit. At best they reinvest back into the channel to an impressive degree (eg.: Patra pretty much building a professional recording studio just to make asmr), at worst they just throw money down the drain (eg.: Fubuki's gacha addiction).
