It's honestly a great gimmick and I think it would make for a really good pickup for any of the groups with a medium following. The real issue is they seem to hope to ride their small popularity into the thing they actually wanted to do. I wish they could just do what Kiara did by getting into Hololive to live their idol dreams again on a grander stage.

I kinda doubt they want to do vtubing at this point, but they're pretty good and would be a solid pick up for anybody that wants them. I think the GGN gimmick had a ceiling since it was basically a MangaGamer advertising move and they could probably do much better with original characters.

Oh absolutely, and I think it can be leveraged as part of any sort of wave/unit debut, just not specifically two characters from an established semi-obscure VN property, bankrolled by a smallish localization company with a checkered reputation. I think the writing was on the wall since it's not like the travelers were going to buy multiple copies of Rance ad infinitum to make a vtuber project worthwhile. There's corpo talents like Nijisanji and Hololive, and then there's CORPORATE talents, like Crunchyroll's vtuber, and I think the sisters would do fine as the former but them being the latter always had a mild stink about it. It was pretty common to see people hesitating to superchat or engage with the sisters because they hated MangaGamer.

They 'failed' because they were vtubers for a VN company that were hired to promote the VN's that the company sold. On top of that, their 'tour guide' duties really cut into their available stream time and had them semi-inconsistant. Beyond that, it's just not being in one of the 'big names' or being able to make connections with many indies because they were semi-corpo. Some might not like the vocal characteristics they had as well. Add it all together and they fell through the cracks. If they would have been or join a bigger corpo, they'll do just fine.

They were consistent though. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they'd stream, and occasionally on Wednesday's. The only time I can even remember them canceling was when they took a week off when their grandfather was sick.

This is my theory about why they don't want to go back as streamers anymore:
Doing a duet stream is not an easy thing to do, I mean look at Game Grumps, they never stream and their contents are edited videos. It's hard to get chemistry between two people especially for constant weekly content making. It can be exhausting and can create faster burnout than normal solo streamer.
And before you say

Yeah, but it require a good (and rare) chemistry and even now Game Grumps and Oneyplays hate each other. So yeah. It's not as easy as you imagine.

They broke into single streams now and again, depending on the material/game or their own lives. I’m not saying it was easy to upkeep their dual nature, but you don’t necessarily need them both to stream together always, especially if they are simply in the same unit.

You all realize that if you want them in Holo (EN or JP), Cover will absolutely not let them stream together 24/7, right?
They might still use the sister theme, but thats about it. Obviously collabs with each other would happen, but they can't sell (aka merch) a permanent duo well.

Even with the whole "sister unity" thing the entire point of their dynamic was supposed to be that you choose one. Cover could easily do split merch even if they were joined at the hip for every stream and it'd work because they have a lot of experience selling it. Remember that left-twix right twix ad campaign? It was successful even though you literally couldn't get twix sold individually. Even if the merch is sold together they can also sell it on the idea that the consumer is making a "choice" when they buy both. Their chemistry and ability to sell eachothers high points to the audience would be absolutely wasted otherwise.

Why? Because ragtag put daily download limit. If you want to download large amount of videos and reached the limit you must wait until the next day to download again. I don't know the limit but it's probably 100GB per day.

I was very deep into Kiara at the time that I found them, so I only checked in occasionally live because Kiara streams too much for a person with a life to catch up with. Depends what you want to get out of 'chatting'. Actual friendship/constant back and forth isn't going to happen with bigger talents.
