His biggest reason was that they welched on his contract in 2 parts
1) They made Mizu work WAY more than he was expecting for a team that didn't exist for the manga/ "potential" anime, while keeping his pay as-is
2) They refused to renegotiate with him when he tried to get more pay for the work he was going to do
Then the whole him being a giga simp for Marine, but never getting to be by her or talk directly to her thing happened

So happy Cover was able to reign in all the fucking easter eggs and background references he would add when they hired him; god, those were annoying. My only other nitpick would be that the color grading on his videos are a little bit too contrasty and saturated, but that's just a minor complaint.

As someone who commissioned a lot of people, getting an artist who can churn their stuff in regular 8asis is not easy anon.

I think that was a single project with a set pay, not an ongoing contract with renewals.
Still, asking for more money is okay, depending on how you go about it.
Publicly shitting on your employer when they refuse to pay you more than what you already agreed to is not.
Should have done his job well and he'd have gotten more with better pay on other projects after that.
He's been doing this for what, 15 years? This was his big opportunity.
