That's the issue with collabs, it causes your fanbase to be divided on it
People think this is some sort of vtuber only thing, I remember back in the day when all the yaoi fanfic shit happened to big youtubers when they collabed and it caused a lot of the fanbase to hate pewdiepie/markiplier collabs
Ultimately, content creators don't want to lose hold of their identity to shippers, which is why the kronii x vesper shit has to be strongarmed, it's not good for anyones channel to be so strongly tied to someone elses
