It's always better to differentiate a general "occupation" versus a career path (something you intend on doing for profit and life fulfillment). A lot of times, trying to make a job out of something you like just adds on the grime and dirt of a legal financial system, logistics and process so it really is a test of dedication. Others aren't so fortunate and really are a lie in and out though (won't name any names). It's like how learning something on your own might be cool but the moment you're sat in a desk and taught it at school, it becomes the worst thing ever. A matter of perception and reception, if your passions, hobbies and dreams are being killed off, you're probably playing the wrong game in the wrong area
