>>52772822Phase has an unusually deep bench but they're living and dying by Pippa. She's 5-10 times larger than most talents in the company, so she's the main draw to Phase; that said, she's also an anchor. She's not actually that good a streamer, first and foremost. Her reputation as "The 4chan Vtuber" drives away normies but she's honestly not the talent 4chan wants either. She's a self-described progressive, she's just too much of an edgelord for normies (much less SJWs), and her reputation here is fading fast. It's unfortunate that the rest of Phase is stuck in her shadow because they have a fairly strong roster. Tenma is maybe the only "S-Tier" talent they have but they've got an abnormally large percentage of A-Tier and B-Tier talent and I don't think I've seen any D- or F-Tier talents with them at all. That kind of brand consistency is maybe unrivaled in all of vtubing right now.
Idol Corp I don't know if I get the hype yet. Like Pippa at Phase, Idol is in the shadow of their biggest talent. Rin Penrose is kind of a bad streamer; before she blew up she was okay, but she's let the numbers go to her head and now she does nothing but low-effort clip-bait content. In the past MONTH of streaming, she can't be assed to stream for more than like an hour at a time, and has done no game streams except shovelware and gimmick games, aside from ONE Spore stream, ONE Katamari stream, and a fucking collab with Flayon Homostar on Splatoon. Penrose aside, the roster feels shallow to me. Origin is mostly garbage (and 3/5 already graduated barely after a year), E-Sekai is mostly mid-tier. The new gen has some promise but we'll have to see.
