Gonna throw it out there to educate, because people often mix the two up:
A COLD SORE is herpes, often found on the lips.
A KANKER SORE is a sore on the inside of the mouth, often caused by physical damage (like an accidental cheek bite), though it may be cause by bacteria in rare case. Kanker sores are not herpes.
Herpes is very common compared to other sexually transmitted diseases, and its impact is nonsevere with treatment and contact avoidance during flare ups. HOWEVER, it's not the cakewalk, omnipresent, "lol don't worry about it everyone has it" disease some people cope about. In most cases you can, and should, easily avoid herpes. Why needlessly subject yourself to a disease that give your sores? 60% of people have it? 99%? That's pure bullshit.
Herpes is a sexually transmitted disease, but it's not exclusively sexually transmitted. It can be spread through other means as well. This includes kissing and childbirth. While herpes is relatively harmless to adults, it can possibly kill a baby. And if it doesn't, the baby still has herpes. Did you or your wife just have a kid, and is Grandma trying to kiss the baby on the cheek at every chance she gets? Shut that shit down HARD. You don't know if she has herpes.
>>52798533Herpes doesn't cause a rash. It causes sores.
>>52816063LOL NO. Who the fuck told you that?
>>52799058Eczema isn't contagious or spreadable you stupid fuck. It's not caused by a pathogen.
