I find the non-chalantly alien attitude anti-unicorn/GFE anons have towards specifically romantic love incredibly disturbing and unironically schizo
They always confer inconsequential importance on the concept of emotional states and seem to deny the existence of emotional investment altogether
In almost every case, they end up demonstrating, taking pride in, and joking about possessing a profound detachment from their sense of common empathy. I have never seen a single instance of a conventionally defined "kind person" be anti-unicorn or anti-GFE. The closest they come is with faux motivational speeches, but a desire to motivate or push others into a course of action is a completely different emotion from "kindness". Kindness is an intrinsic sense of value for empathy for the sake of itself. I have never seen this from people who hate on GFE or people who enjoy GFE/Unicorns alongside a coherent understanding of human emotions. I have been here since the board started and seen literally dozens of opportunities for it to occur. But I've not seen even a single instance. The same is not true of the opposite; plenty of unicorns here are cold-hearted sociopaths too, but there is almost always a significant portion of them with a clear understanding and awareness of the emotional weight of a circumstance.
This has lead me to believe that nearly all anti-GFE/anti-unicorns are incapable of non-selective empathy, a sign of being emotionally stunted, and makes them feel like literal malignant demons from hell who are proud of being evil and causing pain
